Assignment 1

I do not know this person and I have not read their hand but they did ask me

"What career should I have?"

This is an often asked question in palmistry and you will need to understand how to answer it. In this assignment, think about what sort of career this person would best suit - considering, emotional make up, personality, before finally concluding on their potential skills based on what you see here.

Attached are both the left and right hands. Assess the left for internal, read the right for external traits.

Consider the differences in the left and right hand, and what this may tell you.

I highly recommend David Brandon-Jones' 'your hand and your career' to help guide in answering such questions. It's old and unknown but superior to other books by far. I've read it countless times and still do.

1. What does the overall hand shape and fingers/thumb tell you? Consider the 7 hand shapes and the 4 elements this best fits into and which of the mounts is most and least prominent. What do these signs tell you about their character and skills as a combined conclusion?

2. What does their heart line tell you about their emotional psychology? Consider why this differs on the left hand. What career setting would this person best suit as a result?

3. Consider the finger leanings here. What does this tell you. Often, where the fingers lean (depending on which hand) can reveal a lot about psychology and where a person places their efforts. Consider closeness of fingers and what this reveals. What might this person now be investing their efforts into, considering left and right hands. Consider what each of the fingers represent, their individual phalanges, lengths against each other and thickness. What stands out and what does this mean to you?

4. Consider the health line in conjunction with the fate line. how and why might a person might be restricted in their career regarding this? Consider which career might be more suitable due to this.

5. The headline is joined to the life for a significant time, what does this mean for this person? How might this help us determine a good career choice?

How is the headline different on the left and right hand and why? What does this tell us about their current mindset?

6. Where does the fate line begin and what does this tell us when cross referencing with other identified signs?

How does this differ on the left hand and why?

Now, for your first assignment, answer:

"What career should I have?"

Please remember that it doesn't matter that you might not 'get it right' or if you feel you aren't getting it. This is about learning and honing your skills as a budding palm reader. Sometimes there are no right answers and not everyone sees all. Even if you feel you don't have any ideas at all, the lesson is in learning and trying. You may surprise yourself and may see things I don't. Make as many notes as you can and once you see the answers next week, you will mind will begin to bridge some gaps.

The palms are both a map, and a language. Give it a go.

what is this palm trying to tell you?
